Re: high idle

that high of an idle you need to check for a serious vaccum leak you should be able to hear it with the hood up it will sound like a hissing sound. also check your throttle valve make sure its working proporly. make sure your throttle cable isnt to tight as well. and what does it do once it is in drive does it jerk still idle high or come down to +- 1200rpm where it should be

Rodger dodger.

The telltale signs of a vacuum leak.

When checking idle speed, make sure these things are fixed first, before you try to adjust idle speed.

1. Check for vacuum leaks
2. Check timing
3.

There's two other things that I can't think of, I have it written down but its in my car. I'll get back to you later.

Re: high idle

one more thing check for a stuck injector just let your car run when its at high idle and unplug in injector one at a time if the idle drops to wear it should be replace that injector
