Opinions on Black Matte Vinyl Wrap for 5th gen Lude

Hey guys,
I was on the Internet and did a little research on black matte vinyl wrap. I was thinking about doing a whole wrap for my black 5th gen prelude. The paint on my car is ok now, but not so great. The cost for doing the whole car with vinyl wrap is about $800, less than the cost of a paint job. And it can be applied or remove by yourselves. It doesn't hurt the paint. It can be removed if you decide you don't want it anymore. I think it's a good alternative to repainting the whole car. The matte black looks nice on supercars. I just have never seen it on a Prelude before. What do you guys think?
Thank you

I personally like wraps... a lot! Be it a design or just a color. They are cheap, re-doable, easy maintenance. Problem is, they aren't permanent. Depending on the material they are guaranteed removal for like 4 years. So you pretty much need to redo it every few years. Which really isn't that big of a problem. I think the black looks slick but it takes a lot of detail and creativity to make it fit. Other wise it looks generic and cheap.

Re: Opinions on Black Matte Vinyl Wrap for 5th gen Lude

and another thing people seem to leave out is that you need to do just as much prep work to make it look that good, such as bondo work and getting all the dents out. I am going to be wrapping mine in white this summer. i have been thinking a lot about the poor man's paint job, but it requires way too much work. this is still not going to be cake walk, but at least i wont spend my life sanding to make it look ok.
