It seems that some cars really do drop off when they get a little warm, and others are not affected as much.

I saw those intake manifold spacers, but here's my question...

So I get the whole theory. It allows heat to disperse. That's great. But doesn't that raise the fuel injectors too? How can you get an accurate spray? Anybody thought of that yet? Are these spacers widely used?

You talking about spacers like the hondata IM gasket?
Like this?

I installed one on my car and love it. ~5000 miles and no problems yet...

yes, our engines get HOT ASAP.
The 3rd gen motor especially. F1 design

I never read any positive results about TB spacers in a stockish Lude...

Me neither, the IM spacer from Hondata is suppose to give up to ~5hp (per the docs that came with it)... I'll believe it when I see a dyno before and after proving it, although I am more inclined to believe hondata when they make these claims.

You guys say you have not seen intake manifold spacers on a "stockish" Prelude.

Odd, considering a Prelude, stock, modified or in between should be able to benifit from a lower intake temperature.

I guess I'm just a little disheartened by what I'm reading. I brought a stock MX6 up to a little over 200 whp all motor with no tuning, and it seems that the Prelude is just tweaked MUCH better from the factory.

What would y'all reccomend that I start with? It's got a WAI already, but that's all I know of.

Well, some ppl are talking about TB spacers and I'm talking about the IM spacer. I haven't heard of a TB spacer helping all that much, the IM spacer *should* help since it will lower the IM temp but I've never seen dyno graphs proving it.
