RWD Lude O_o

This Lude is SICK!! Maybe I should have set my goals higher then just doing a 5 speed swap and some other small mods!

Re: RWD Lude O_o

i always wanted a rwd lude, but in the end it aint worth it.

so if you really want a rwd prelude...get a front clip and mold it on a s13. way cheaper then converting a fwd car to rwd

No I have not seen the LS1 swap either...sounds like that has been done a hundred times over though as well as mid engine conversions...but as the article states "This is the only Honda Prelude in the world that has been completely converted to RWD while keeping it's original body and production motor under the hood!" So ya I guess I should just shrug this brilliant piece of engineering off as another waste of a Lude and instead get all excited over Mugen parts, front lips and new rims instead.

Yes I do think it sits a little high too but considering he is running a 10 inch wide rim on the back it's pretty much a fact of life unless you start hacking it up and mini-tubbing it. Sure you could probably put a 7 inch rim on the back and get it to sit lower but then I am sure you would get into some traction issues pushing 500+ hp out of that potent little H22...

Regardless it is a VERY cool Lude and I would almost guarantee nobody on this forum would turn down an opportunity to spend some quality time behind the wheel of this ride or have it for your own.

Re: RWD Lude O_o

actually, it's only super high because of how they placed the engine. plus the hood is modified because the engine sits so high. it's not that brilliant either, just an h2b adapter plate with a cr-v tranny. anyone with time and money can pull this off. a better swap is a j swap. and no, I actually wouldn't reall want to drive that thing

Because for a lot of people building cars is a hobby. O know of a few people who spend oodles of money modifying cars and sell them the next year or so. And if you sell it while its still buzz worthy you can get impulsive people to buy it and get more out of it than when its old news.

As much as he does deserve props for pulling it off. Its too heavily modified to be a stock appearing rig. So it loses some luster in my eyes

Agreed. I would rather it be a twin turbo J-Swap sleeper.

exactly. i have a ton more respect for anyone here that spends 5-10 k on their car than someone who pays 50k for someone else to pimp their ride for them. i was at an av store a few years back and they had an infinity there they had been working on for a month. they claim to have put around 30000 into it in audio video alone. sure it looked good but who cares. its about creativity and the process. ive got big plans for my lude. big 5 year plans. ill get there but its the journey that makes the difference. look at badbb6. been at his build for some time now. think he won ride of the year just cause his car was cool. if i put 100 grand into mine tomorrow it wouldnt be as cool as his. call it essence of sweat or whatever but theres more value in a weekends worth of bloody knuckles than what it would cost to farm out the labour. the reason these guys build and sell is cause they arent attached to their cars. how could they be. only been in it twice. my first pz rant....
