I have the same thing. I like it actually, you get heat without using electricity. It's probably because you don't have a heat shield anymore and the gets pushed towards the cabin. I still have the stock cat, sadly, need to get a larger after market one.

Run a cat. Seriously, using a test pipe instead of a cat gets you such a negligible gain it's not even worth it.

Re: If you have aftermarket header, come here.

yeah, i feel the the heat too when my heater is shut off. I thought that was normal. But you think its because of custom headers? or lack of heat shield? I thought most cars would produce enough heat for it to seep into the cabin regardless of whether there was a heat shield on the headers or not. Is this correct?

Re: If you have aftermarket header, come here.

I've had two different header set ups installed on my lude.
The m2 40$ ebay header and now the dc header, neither setup did I feel any heat in the car at all.

I may have read that wrong, if your talking about heat coming out of the heater while its turned off, umm yea every car I've owned has done that.

Re: If you have aftermarket header, come here.

sounds normal to me...mine def lets a little heat in without the fan on

just wondering why u bothered with a DC header anyways?...they make almost no gains over the stock manifold...only thing u def gained was weight savings..

i could of sold you my DC , I just picked up a Hytech replica header

Re: If you have aftermarket header, come here.

Um are u sure it's not from ur heater? Lol.

Is the switch that controls the temp on blue or red? If it is on red it will blow hot air out even when it's off.. Move it all the way on the blue side and see if it still does it..

Unless u have a huge hole in the firewall you shouldn't feel heat from ur header..

Oh..and get a cat.. Meow
