Re: does this look right??

is that where ur diff. is? if so i believe it should be sitting flush on the differential do not go by that thoe but i would highly reccomend getting someone to look at it and if you want a simple possible reason for it being like that is ur axle nut where your spindle is is not tightened or became loose over a period of time. take ur center cap off and see if that big bolt behind it is tight and is punched ( that means some one took a flat head, chizzle, pick and hammered it into a beveled edge of the axle.) if that sounds complicated take your center cap off and see if its tight or loose.

hope i helped man and if it is tight id still get some more expirenced feed backs on this hopefully someone else can help you

Re: does this look right??

make sure that C-clip on the end of the axle is centered on the axle. if it isn't centered right before you put it in the tranny you might not be able to fully seat the axle in the tranny.

Re: does this look right??

I just changed my CV axles for the second time this week today lol

it should sit pretty flush with the tranny. maybe take it out, get a mallet type hammer and push/wiggle it in and then take the mallet to the axle end where the axle nut goes on the force it in there some more..

Hope you get it

Is that a new axle cause sometimes the part store makes mistakes on giving you the wrong one. It happen to me before it was a little bit shorter so it kept popping out.

centered axially. looking at the end of the axle, make sure the clip isn't pushed up, down, left, or right.

its not a new axle its the one that came from the factory... i tried putting it in my old tranny and it went in after a little force so it should go in no problem if i can get someone else to help support it thanks.

yea, pretty much. i hit it with a hammer on the fatter part of the axle, alternating from 12 o'clock - 6 o'clock - 9 - 3, and so on so the force is applied evenly.
