How can I quiet my exhaust?

So tonight I was pulled over and was given an 80 dollar citation for a loud muffler (BS). I was wondering what else I could do to make my exhaust quieter. Right now its a Greddy Evo catback with the resonator and instead of the Evo cat, I have the stock cat on there because it was cheaper to replace. I am trying to avoid going back to the stock muffler and all, so I was curious if there is anything specific I could do to avoid that.

Re: How can I quiet my exhaust?

Are there any resonators that make it quieter than others?

Re: How can I quiet my exhaust?

wow, this is a normal thread on the STi forums, but not the prelude forums

trying to quiet down the Evo is completely stupid and pointless, IMO. you might as well just go back to stock since your basically negating any possible power increase the Evo cat-back MIGHT've given you.
the only purpose of the Evo is to sound good, and your trying to destroy it by quieting it down.... might as well go back to stock if your getting hassled that much.

Re: How can I quiet my exhaust?

Yet it will have the same sound just quieter if I add another resonator, will it not?
