Looking for a shop in SoCal

Hi,
I'm in Long Beach area, but completely new to the Honda scene. I don't want to take my car to some numbskull who cant even tell me the manufacturer, I would like to go to a shop more specialized in Honda. I just got a 98 Prelude base, and it has a number of parts from the previous owner and I need to get rid of some stuff. Fart cannon has to go first off. The car had Washington plates but I will be regg'ing in Calif and want a quieter exhaust so I don't attract thieves and cops.

Also, this thing is slammed, I rub fenders way too much. I know it has Megan header and a full catback exhaust, but I really want to make this car clean and dependable, not a freakin rice burner. Track things can happen later, but first and foremost I need to get the exhaust manageable and smoggable, then the suspensions gotta improve.

Any suggestions will have me better off than before. Thanks!

Re: Looking for a shop in SoCal

more specialized in honda, but not after market stuff:
vtec auto repair
51 auto center dr, #12
irvine, ca
949-206-9108
these guys have always called it like it is for my family and me. never tried to sell me anything that i don't need. we've been going there for years.

after marking stuff:
dynamic autosports
20521 terasita way
lake forest, ca
949-457-1234

suspension:
ef1 motorsports
2675 dawson ave
signal hill, ca
562-424-3378
fab is the owner, and has taken good care of my prelude and m3. he works mostly on euro's, but he's worked on my prelude also. he's on the pricey side, but close to you.

big o tires
20742 lake forest dr
lake forest, ca
949-462-9088
i know the owner and most of the staff here. they do a lot more than just tires, and are trust worthy. a nice cheaper alternative to ef1, without sacrificing the workmanship.

There's a guy out here in north hollywood, the store is called "the cockpit". He used to race a prelude, really nice guy, never tries to mess with anyone, and always gives good advice.

13158 Sherman way, north hollywood, CA 91605

Ask for ED.
