Icon5 Brake pads and rotors.....

So I need to replace my brake pads and rotors on my 5th gen. I did some research but I need some input. I was thinking of going with Brembo blanks but they only make front rotors no rear.... So then I decided to go with Centric Premium rotors. Anybody use these!? Or what should I go with?

As for brake pads I was thinking of going with Hawk HP Plus pads. If you have better ones in mind let me know.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Or you could do the Legend GS upgrade.

Unless your car is a dedicated track/autox car, I wouldn't go with those. Go with the hawk hps (high performance street) instead. I have them on my DD and am pretty happy with them.

For rotors, I would go OEM or brembo.

Re: Brake pads and rotors.....

Depends on your purpose. The factory brakes work pretty well. If your not racing, going to track days, or climbing mountains daily, then stick with OEm brakes, or equivelant. Typically your not going to notice a difference with slotted/drilled rotors unless your on the racetrack. Dont spend the $$ on high performance brakes unless you have a reason too.

Re: Brake pads and rotors.....

if you go to password jdm you will see there are no rotors listed for the bb6 but if you go under the integra type r the fronts are listed to fit the bb6 and also if you look under 06 and up si civic the rears will fit .. as of now i have the front password rotors on the car with hawk hps pads with goodridge lines . amazing diff in stopping distance . i just ordered the rears rotors and pads last night .. i can vouch 100% for the fronts fitting ill let you know about the rears .... if you look on ebay you can pick the rotors up for 129 for the front and 129 ( shipped ) for the rear . about 90 for front pads and 60 for rears ... all in all its a pretty nice upgrade and good for dd ing ... im very happy with the diff in braking over stock .. to boot the rotors look tits and wont rust ...
