Fuel temp gauge out!!!

alright I thought I was fortunate enough to have spare parts in my buddys closet cause my fuel temp circuit board was melted and well i put his in and he said it was going out when he had his lude and that was 2 years ago so its been sitting and well it doesnt work either is their another problem that I need to look at towards fixing that or do I have to get a new gauge and if I do does anyone know if there are any aftermarket fuel gauges that tell the level I cant find any anywhere any info towards this will help im puttin her ont the road in 2 weeks and would like to know my fuel levels thanks!!!!

Try glowshift.. I have some of theyre gauges,id def recommend them.

Holy run-on sentence batman. Try puncuation so your posts are easier to read.


Call a salvage yard and see if you can just get a used cluster for it for cheaper, then either swap the whole cluster, or replace what you need in yours. What is causing the boards to burn? Different bulbs in it or something?

There are after market guages you can get for fuel, but you need to know the resistance level of the float guage.

I go to the junkyard once a week looking for new ludes and I either cant get to them fast enough or they dont get new ones in and for a aftermarket gauge to install it do you have to hack into the wiring harness or what? I bought one and it was the wrong thing it had its own float with it. and I see your from rockford IL I lived out there for most of my life. never even seen anyone on this forum that lived remotely close to that
