Yep, I'd go K20 though. Better power, more efficient, (lighter?).

Possible? Yes.

Practical/cost-effective? Absolutely not.

Re: engine swap questoin.. need a little advice

If someone can tell me what a GSR is... I'll give you a virtual cookie. If you can do it before I google it.

EDIT: Ended up reading civic ricer drivel over at H-T. My day has just been ruined. Information gained: negligible and probably misleading.

I hate you google.

Re: engine swap questoin.. need a little advice

Bah!

1.Belongs in 3rd gen forum.
2.K20 is too long to fit. (unless you start cutting out body fender... bad idea.)
3.H22 is ample and 1000 times easier, cheaper too.
4.YOU HAVE A CARBED S... you will never spend the money to go Fuel Injected.

Leave your car alone or sell it. JUST

Trust me Read this first...

Not that I'm doubting you, but the K20 is longer than the H22? Also, why not swap the R18?

Re: engine swap questoin.. need a little advice

Search Preludepower.com for k20 build thread. they got it in, but you can't add accessories, manifolds or cv axles. the last time I looked they never got beyond those conflicts. K20 just sits wrong.
::::EDIT::::

The carb to FI swap is not only time consuming, you could've put that money into another prelude that has better market support, like a 4th gen.

NOW... (and here comes the wet dream segment of this tread) you relocate the Engine bay to the rear and Mid Engine/Rear Axle with the K20, that be Baller. It's been done with a 4th gen and h22 block. To see that in a 88-91 prelude would be Baller. Also about $9k without fabwork or shop hours. Plus side? $12K NSX. I need to get a better job.
