Something is seriously wrong with my prelude

What's up folks,
Something is seriously wrong with my prelude. First off. I got out ran by a Mustang. A olddddddddd mustang. 4 cyl mustang barely pushing 88 hp. OK! And then. Same night. I got outran by a F22 completely stock 91 Honda Accord. Something is wrong. Ok listen though. When I first got the car. The vtec wasn't kicking in AT ALL! It would go in 2nd and stay and won't come out. It would jerk BADDDD! So, I have no idea. But, then I was at the car wash and was vaccuming out my car and washing it and my friend told me to pop the hood and I did. My vtec wasn't hooked up at ALL! It was crazy. Well, we put it in and it started kicking in. Well, It still does the tranny problem. But, like it knocks alot. I don't have any idea. Help me out plzzzzzzzzz.

Thankx,
Stiff

do you have an auto tranny? what year and how many miles do you have, you might still be under the extended warranty if you got the auto tranny.
