Whats a decent sounding exhaust??

I need to put some exhaust on the lude so I'm lookin for a quiet but yet nice sounding exhaust. I don't like that loud leaf blower or pissed off chainsaw sound (no offense to anyone, just not my cup of tea). I searched Youtube but found nothin I like. Anyone have a vid, feel free to post.

Re: Whats a decent sounding exhaust??

Apexi WS2 hands down. Its nice and quiet when your cruising but when you get on it, it has a nice aggressive tone. I just installed one about 2 weeks ago and I love it.

Re: Whats a decent sounding exhaust??

That ones pretty true to what it sounds like. Its a really nice exhaust dude. And it looks amazing. APEXi Exhaust - WorldSport 2 - JDM parts: Honda, Toyota, Nissan - Japanese aftermarket and performance car parts Thats the place I got mine. That was the best deal I found which was actually a really good deal

Yea it looks to be a nice setup. Didn't know catback for these cars was pricey. Almost as much the catback for my tbss.

That's actually pretty cheap for a cat back. I paid almost $750 shipped to my door for mine.

I like how it's not high pitched and you can hear the VTEC kicking pretty hard, low low low. Nice!

Yeah, $500 is pretty much a steal compared to what you could pay. You could always just get one made tho which would probably be a little bit cheaper.

I might look into just buying the muffler. I have a guy at a muffler shop that does excellent work and is real cheap. We'll c but as of now, this is the exhaust I'm goin with.

WS2 Hangs too low, if your lowered it will scrape everywhere. I think that's the only flaw about that exhaust system. Other than that it sounds really nice.

9 times out of 10 it hangs too low because of old worn out rubber hangers. I replaced mine and it sits up a bit closer to the car now.

Pretty much everyone will tell you WS2.

I'd look at a lot of vid clips and see what you like.

I did a good bit of searching and the vid I have posted of the Apex is the best I found. It's just a DD and I'd like a decent quiet but deep muffler. Most that I find on YouTube is that loud obnoxious high pitched sound. I'll be good with the Apex but I'll still search when I'm bored.

It does hang a little low but you shouldn't scrape unless you aim for every single pothole or dip in the road. Im not lowered and theres plenty of clearance.

Re: Whats a decent sounding exhaust??

How quiet do you want it? Look up 'Prelude flowmaster 50' and listen to that one. It's barely, if at all, louder than stock, and is probably what I am going with. Most people will tell you Flowmaster is for trucks and hot rods, but that's because they don't know what they're talking about. Plus, you wont have a huge can hanging off the back, and you can tuck it up nicely under the bumper to keep things looking clean.
You can get the muffler itself for ~$120 or so, so when you couple it w/ a high flow Magnaflow cat and the piping, you're stll only running in the neighborhood of $300 or so.

Pretty quietbut maybe a Lil louder than stock. I'm not sure how loud stock is, lol. First thing I searched for was magnaflow but couldn't find any good clips of it. I might have to try the flowmaster. I wanna keep cats for sure. My Tbss is loud enough and it gets old. Might try the Borla XR-1 off my Tbss on the Prelude. Thanks for ur input man. Much appreciated.
