URGENT ECU HELP!

I was in the process of swapping out my "stock" ecu for my Phearable one I recieved in the mail today and came across something I'm sure isn't right... The supposedly stock ecu had a sticker on it that said "Wicked Innovations," so I did some reasearch and it appears this ecu is chipped too... It has this code on it:

37280-P14-A52
561 US ,KC-AT

With 4A5 across the sides.

WTF is this? A P14 ecu? I'm afraid to plug in my Phearable because it says something on the disclaimer saying that if you have "two wires crossed" in the engine bay, it will damage the ecu?

EDIT: The mounting points for my phearable are nothing like my stock mounting points? How can I be sure I got the right one?

Nevermind. No one helped, so I just plugged it in and crossed my fingers. Would still like to know what the other ECU is?

Re: URGENT ECU HELP!

You should probably give Phearable a call.

I've already installed their ECU and everything is in working order. Now I have questions about my "stock" one, lol. Judging by the code on it, I'd say it is a USDM P14 Automatic Transmission (obviously converted to manual) ECU that has been chipped. Chipped how and for what, I have no clue.

Re: URGENT ECU HELP!

The P14 is a USDM ecu used for the H23 and your probably right about the automatic part too, the chip would be to make the automatic ecu correspond with the 5speed transmission now. To make the engine run correctly so it doesn't keep thinking its an auto and ish like that.

Did your car run fine with the old ecu in it?

Like some ppl said it could of just been chipped for the transmission.. But I have no idea lol

Re: URGENT ECU HELP!

Car ran perfectly fine with the old ecu. It never crossed my mind that it could have just been chipped for manual usage... I fail. Regardless, my Phearable one has made an immense difference in performance. I'm slightly disappointed with my 2 step though. I wanted it at 3500 so the peak would be 3500. It jumps from around 3500 to 4000, which is too much for street tires. I have too much burn now :/ Oh well, is this P14 worth any money?

Re: URGENT ECU HELP!

Did the previous owner do an auto to 5-seed swap?

Re: URGENT ECU HELP!

You could probably sell it to someone that's planning on doing a 5speed swap or try egay.

I have absolutely no clue. The previous owner kept no records on what they did and completely butchered this car. Everytime I do something new, I find something else that is wrong. I guess it's possible, but I searched the VIN up online and it said it was a manual, so I doubt it.

That's what I figured, but I wasn't sure on a good price. I'm clueless.

throttle regulation.....

now go get your engine tuned like you are supposed to when you get this kind of ecu.

What do you mean, "throttle regulation?"

I was told I could hold WOT and it shouldn't be any different if I just gave it enough throttle to hit the rev limiter...

I've had many people tell me I don't need to get a tune... That's the whole reason I got the damn thing. They said the base map should be specific enough with my stock engine that it would be fine.

Re: URGENT ECU HELP!

I wouldn't think u would need a tune unless u have more that IHE. And the ecu what engine are u running? I might pick it up from you when I do the engine swap in my other 4th gen.

It's a P14 H23 Auto (converted to manual) ecu. I never had any problems with it, I just wanted more power. I'd still like to know what all it is chipped for though

It's all good. I highly recommend the Phearable ecu though.

so why did you get this ecu?
For your information, you condescending ****, I never said I held it at WOT, I just said that's what I was told. I hold it just far enough to hit the rev limiter, which isn't exactly where I wanted it, and that was why I was curious. You don't have to act like you're the baddest mother****er on this planet you douche, everyone has to learn somehow. Also, no **** spinning is bad, that's why I'm irritated my rev limiter is so high. Now put your ego down boy, you've said enough.
