I got a 92 prelude type s (f22) I throw a check engine light when I drive her rough and sorry to say alot of the time through areas around my house thats how I drive so would anyone know why it only throws a cel when I get on it hard

Maybe wen u OD on the acceleration while drivin "rough" the sensors on the throttle are not responding, or are worn, like the sensor is tryna keep up wit u...

Or it cud jus be something loose. maybe an exhaust leak...
Did u jump the CEL to get the code to see wat it is??

hahaha I do have a exhaust leak I didnt think of that and no I dont know how to get the code off the cel I saw a link to show you how but it wasnt too clear it had kinda crappy explanation

jump two wires in the connector that is behind the radio console - drivers foot well.. turn key on ... count the blinky lights ... how hard is that?
One is for the CEL codes, one is for the ABS system.

well thank you man and I do not know how to do it the tutorial I seen was crappy and done by someone that barely spoke english and im not too worried about it now im letting the lude sit for a few months while I leave the state and go work and im just coming back droppin in a H22 probally lsd tranny and buying a full exhaust ill have like 4k to drop into it when I come back contimplating a turbo im not totally sure right now

a cel on and off could be something clogged, did it ever stay on long enuff for u to check it? could be a loose sensor **** like that, idont think its to serious, if ur dropping in a new motor then yeah h22a "jdm" dont worry about the turbo, make sure u have a good suspension so u dont kill urself

ya I drove my buddys H22 civic on stock suspension I wont lie when I got on it I got a little worried I was going to lose it lol I will be putting on tokico shocks and lowering springs drop it down maybe 1.5 inchs. and with the cel it stays on some times I tried to do the wire in the connector and it shut off the cel and I got a battery light and oil light so maybe my oil pressure is ****ed idk I know that I do have the right amount of oil in it and i have been checking sensors unless there is a hidden secret sensor then im good but one thing that does question me is my exhaust rusted off on the back at the first flange so I just slapped a gsxr 600 muffler on it but later found a huge rust hole in the pipe so maybe its that idk when ever I try to check the cel it goes off its messing with me and pissing me off do you think a it could be the egr?

egr wouldnt go on or off, thats either bad or its good, i wouldnt be suprised if its ur o2 sensor on ur exhaust? where is the hole? and ur suspension is rly important man, people build monster ludes but if ur suspension cant handle those speeds/torque specs ur screwed, and i bet there is 1 sensor u havent checked haha, KNOCK SENSOR lol

hahaha nope havent checked knock sensor and I had a 3 inch rust holy going along the back of my exhaust and I forgot I do have a crack in the header too and i dont know if it has anything to do with it but I do have a little valve noise thats why im trying to get a new motor and I will be getting tokico gas shocks when i get back in a few months until then the car is going to just sit there but I do have a H22 im going to be buying so I shouldnt worry about it too much
