What are the fluids that need my lude needs?

What are all the fluids that i should keep check of their levels? Also i have a base 2000 lude, does it need anti freeze? or any transmission/clutch fluid?

Re: What are the fluids that need my lude needs?

Nah man, you don't need any of that antifreeze stuff, ****, you got a 2000 base lude bro! It uses rechargeable dry ice!

Yes, check your coolant levels, if your coolant level keeps dropping, that isn't good, likely means a head gasket problem. Manual transmission fluid level should be fine, I would recommend a change of the fluid though, easy to do and cheap. Make sure all fluids are topped off, brake, clutch(uses same fluid as brake fluid), and power steering. REGULARLY check your engine oil, Preludes are known to use oil.

Do you know anything about car maintenance in general?

Brake fluid should not ever be topped off...
Your brake fluid goes down as brake pads wear out.

Change the fluid every 3 years and if you do start losing brake fluid at a quick rate then you have a leak and need to find it.

Re: What are the fluids that need my lude needs?

You will also need to keep an eye on the blinker fluid. Here is the product I use Blinker Fluid [BF-01] - $8.99 : KaleCoAuto, Hard to find automotive items!
I also recommend you purchase an engine oil bypass kit. If you don't run it through your engine, it will stay clean and useable for longer. Engine Oil Bypass Kit - $49.95 : KaleCoAuto, Hard to find automotive items!
And while not a fluid as such, tyre air is also a good one to keep tabs on. And using the correct air (summer air in summer, winter air in winter, etc) is a must! Seasonal Tire Air [1cas] - $29.95 : KaleCoAuto, Hard to find automotive items!
Is your car auto or manual? If manual, then the clutch belt may need replacing Heavy Duty Clutch Belt [HDCB-87X] - $19.95 : KaleCoAuto, Hard to find automotive items!

Re: What are the fluids that need my lude needs?

How do I add coolant? I checked the reservoir on the left and it is completely empty. What should I do? Just add a brand name coolant from walmart (50/50) into the cap or the reservoir directly?

Re: What are the fluids that need my lude needs?

While your engine is cool open the cap on the rad to make sure that it isn't low. If it is low add coolant to the rad through the cap you took off to check it. Also, since the res is empty you open it's cap and add the coolant to the min line.
