Re: auto to manual

Most Prelude parts are interchangeable, including the actual transmission. Some parts you'll need will have to be 5th gen specific though. I'm working on getting this done for my car too...I also live in Utah.

Re: auto to manual

I'm not 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure that some of the cheaper stuff has to be 5th gen specific. The clutch kit, flywheel, transmission, etc, don't matter what generation it's from. I lived in the Taylorsville/Salt Lake City area; but now I live in Cedar City while I go to classes at SUU. I go back to the SLC area on some weekends to cruise down state street.

Re: auto to manual

something you can do is go to hondaautomotiveparts.com. look up the part numbers for all the parts between the the 2 cars. if the part numbers differ then you should purchase 5th gen specific.

iirc, the half shaft is different. the clutch pedal assy is different. the clutch line from the reservoir to the slave cyl is different. and the shifter is different. but it can be modded to fit. i think the writeup is somewhere on this site. there maybe more so don't take my word for it. its been over 2 years since i researched this.. i was in the process of the swap myself. i was short 2 parts... but then i got married.
