Big problem smoke coming from intake and car wont start

well i just took my motor out to repair and change some things list of changes
changed both cam seals repaired leaking rear main seal replaced broken knock sensor i did not make any changes to the intake manifold except the throttle body gasket i put every thing back together and installed motor in my car. when i first started vehicle it started ok i ran it for a few minutes to warm it up to check seals then it started to get that funny idle like when a vacum line is wrong or leaking then it died. but it started back up again but then soon after died again now it will not start.when i try starting it the starter keeps turning it over but it will not turn on. i thought this was due to my vacum lines so i looked up some diagrams and i couldnt find the right one for the h22 but i belive the vacum lines are exactly the same way they where when i was driving it b4 i dont understand im lost. i did do some vacum line guessing but with no success actually one of the configurations made a puff of white smoke come from the intake filter. please help any advice or troubleshooting help will be greatly appriciated

Have a look at the timing belt. i think ur timing slipped.
if u took the pulleys off the cams did u forget a key wen u put em back on ...
i can see the valves opening in the rong places (not timed properly) letting smoke out the intake.
i had a bolt come loose on a cam gear/ pully and it did pretty much the same thing

Re: Big problem smoke coming from intake and car wont start

I reajusted everything it was the vacum lines that was making smoke come out but now i have a new problem when the car turns on now but it dies out like its loosing gas but i have a full tank of premium 91 unleaded. All the injector wires seem to have power i used a tester to check. Fuel pump ques when i turn ignition on i checked to see if it had pressure by lossening the cap on the fuel rail and gas shot right out when i turned the ignition so its not the fuel pump. I replaced main relay not that. What am i left with clogged injector or something? Car starts up and idles fine for like 5 seconds then just dies.

Re: Big problem smoke coming from intake and car wont start

same thing happened to me when finishing my swap... motor seems like it starts turning in the opposite direction and shooting exhaust through the intake... if its not the timing.., as stated above.., check your TPS.., to see if it's broke, or if you have it and the map sensor connector switched...

no cel's..?
