help! What must i do to my lude if its running rich, or what could it be

ok. So around january i blew my h22, then i fullybuilted. When i got the motor back, blak smoke on my back' till now. everytime i go on high rpm it will burn oil. Bad.. it feels like too much pressure. It only happens after vtec. Like mucho black smoke. And when the car is not rolling black smoke will come out when rev at low rpm' like on 3k. Not as on high's but still. What can i do to fix this headache.? 6 of castrol 20-50 won't last me, in less than 800mi everything is good. . .Sorry excuse my english, and i'll excuse your spanish.

try triple post. this is the third thread of the same thing. and 6 what? quarts? thats .9 quarts too much. and what is 20-50? try putting in 10w-30. and our cars always run rich. plus since you built the thing, you might wanna actually tune it

Ups got it. Running rich means you are have a high fuel to air ratio. If it is "fully built" then the base map on your ecu isn't going to make it run like it should. If you are running a built engine 10w-40 might help with the oil burn off (it did with mine).

Did you start diving your new engine hard right after the build? There is such a thing as a break in period. If you are burning 20w-50 off quickly then you have major issues and might want to ask your builder about it.

absolutely correct

this is like kids that just throw on turbos and dont tune it and then wonder why their engines blow up

yeah. My bad i should not be asking this questions here. Sometimes is hard to deal with those that feel they are way up high. . . I'll figure it out. I'll keep on reading more. Get my best, and do what i need to do.
