Thinking about purchasing a 1990 prelude 2.0s

Hi guys, I've been looking around for a car for about two months now and I've finally found something that looks worth while. Everything I've looked at so far has fallen out of the ugly tree and beat with the ugly stick on the way down, but I think I found something special. It is a 1990 Prelude 2.0s (automatic) as mentioned in the title, it has 114k miles on it and no rust. Stock from the ass up except for a CD player. All for 2,000 dollars. I was wondering what you guys thought about it as this would be my first car and I'm just looking for something reliable yet "sporty". Also, another option that came up was a 1996 GS eclipse with 130k for the same price. Though I'm a bit unsure about those 96's, those suckers poop out head gaskets like they do the front brakes, and are pretty damn pricy when it comes to repairs.

that lude sounds like a good deal. seems like you've done your homework on the eclipse, they are terrible.

i was always told that if u want a decent ecipse go for 1st gen. anything b4 95 was supposed to be good. after 94 they went downhill motor wise. me personally, i would go with the prelude. i don't think u will be disappointed :-)
