Painting question...

i painted my fender.... sand it primed it base coat it.. now i am clear coating it.. it sprayed a whole spray can of clear coat on it... not as shiny as the rest of the car... question is.. do i need more? or did i do something wrong?

spray can clear will never be as shiny/durable as legit clear you spray with a spray gun. your best bet is to sand it with 2000 grit and buff it

or do all the work sand it up then fine sand with 2000 make sure theres no dents, take to a shop (not macco) have them paint and clear coat it for 150 bucks. You get what you pay for, you pay for better paint your paint will look better lol.

in between in spray of base coat you should've sanded it with 2000 grit, and then same with clear.

just did my front end too but i like the flat white look but yes you should have done alot more sanding and some buffing and it would look pretty good

i didnt sand the base coat.. thought that would ruin it.. but what should i buff the clear coat with?

i know the sand paper.. i saw that.... but when you guys say buff it out... doesnt that mean use some detailing liquid and wipe it on?
