Re: H 2 B trany swap

"Best" gearing is subjective. It depends on what you want to use the car for. 1/4 mile, circuit or street/highway work all have different ideal ratios.

ANyways, it's a moot point because there is no H2B setup available for a Prelude.

Buy a teggy, drop in a h22 and buy the h2b mounting plate and there you go.

But they don't make an H2B kit for the prelude.

Re: H 2 B trany swap

All u need to do is fabricate tranny mounts. Ive done a good bit of research on it myself. So if u can fab or kno someone who can fab up some mounts ur good. If not ur gonna pay out the @ss for em somewhere else.

Re: H 2 B trany swap

u would need the b series axels bc the go into the trans but im not sure about linkage. I wanna say H series linkage bc of the length. not sure tho. Googls H2B build list. Itll be the same for preludes ud just need the tranny mounts

Re: H 2 B trany swap

The H series uses cables whereas the B series uses rods. The two aren't interchangeable.

I didn't know that, but hey I really dnt care for the teggy all that much either. You my friend just might have answered a question I had. I'm working on something nasty and its not a prelude.
