Seatbelt chaffing?

Anyone else have this problem? And if so what have you done to alleviate the problem? I haven't noticed it until recently, but I think it may be due to my losing weight, subsequently no longer having man boobies to keep the seatbelt from my neck lol. I'm about 5'8" and drive a 5th gen btw.

Anywho, share your opinions/solutions. Just a note though: I'd really rather not get one of those super poofy seatbelt things, I can see it just getting nasty over time, but then again I've never tried one so I don't know. Maybe someone can recommend a really nice one that make the seatbelt more comfy?

Re: Seatbelt chaffing?

not that I am short... but my Mama is.. and these workgood for "re-adjusting" your seatbelt to a more comfortable position.

Seat belt Comfort with the Seat-belt-Clip - Comfortable Seatbelt Clip - they have it holding the belt loose....

you should use it like it is demonstrated in this picture:

Re: Seatbelt chaffing?

I got my Honda shoulder pads off of eBay for like $8+shipping. I think they look pretty good.

Re: Seatbelt chaffing?

I'm usually wearing a polo shirt to and from work (most of my driving), so the seatbelt sits comfortably under the collar lol. I'm only 5'8" and the seat belt doesn't really touch me often enough to cause any problems. Maybe readjust your seat?

Re: Seatbelt chaffing?

OMG I don't feel as short as normal! Everyone in Ohio must be massive, because I always feel crazy short compared to them. You guys are my height

I would do the shoulder pad like Ian has. They don't get dirty if you don't let them rub your oily skin.

Quiet, woman.

lol just kidding.

I'm short and fat... yet I still don't have anything to complain about when it comes to the 4g Prelude's interior.

An average American man is a fat and disgusting 5'9" and 192 lbs.

I am proudly 5'8" and 135 lbs

I know that sounds scary skinny, but I'm really not that skinny. I is muscular

Re: Seatbelt chaffing?

Hmm thanks folks, I might try to snag some of those shoulder pads from the stealership, they do look legit as fuk.

And yes, when I wear a polo it isnt an issue but I havent been wearing polos much lately. It hasnt bothered me for the year and a half I've owned the car up until a month or so ago. I dunno...

Thanks guys!
