Icon7 Euro R Installed!

I intalled it yesterday. took about 4 hours. I took to stock manifold off within 20 minutes but I had a hard time getting the gasket off. That is what took me so long.

I'm throwing an IACV codes:
I expected that code because it's not plugged in. On the euro r manifold it has a 3 pin connector and on the usdm harness it has a 2 pin connector. Not too sure how I'm gonna tackle that yet. I think on the euro r one reads the signal, one is a gound, and the third has voltage. On the usdm harness: one reads siganal and the other reads voltage. I know the harness already has all the singals grounded but I'm wondering if I still have to run my own ground wire. I found a connector from a D15 obdI civic to fit on the euro r connector and played around with it for a little bit today and the code still appears so right now i'm stuck. I'll get it though.....

here is a pic of the connector.

I might end up just blocking that off entirely... Not sure yet. The reason is because I blocked the egr off and I'm not throwing a code for it using my obdII p5m ecu.

here is a teaser pic:

I'll have to take more pictures in the daytime because my camera batteries are low and I'm having a hard time getting my dimage z2 to focus cause of no battery life.

You could get the IACV adapter plate that allows you to bolt the USDM iacv onto the Euro-R manifold. That 3rd wire could possibly run to the ECU as well, having different inputs and etc but that's just my opinion.

I'm gonna end up buying the plate or just make my own (don't think I'm up to that). I would love to get the ecu pinout for a euro r h22 to see if there are any differences.

to me the adaptor plate is the best fixed.

I'm intrigued to know the differences between the two iacv's wiring. I'm looking to do this manifold down the road for my turbo setup.

I honestly think it's a ground wire (the third wire). But I have nothing to back that claim up. Also when I ran the wires from my 2 pin plug and ran the third as a ground and connected them to the civic connector I have, it still didn't get rid of the code. So my theory really is not holding up too well.

How so? It's gotta be better than the usdm manifold cuz of the butterflies. I'm also looking towards Skunk2 and blacktrax stage 4 manifold. If I had the money I'd get all of them and dyno test each one to save everybody the trouble lol.

that was a really fun experiment. Get some numbers together and start using the formula's you thought you would never use! But seriously, if you can grasp 50% of the discussion.....you need to start reading more. Trust me, the more your grasp a concept, the more you will run with it and the more you will learn...innovate...etc.

go to www.roskoracing.com to purchase the IACV mount.

I didn't think the adaptor plate was a necessity. I should of paid more attention the connectors and had a better understanding of my harness. It's like 98vtec said... I need to read more .

Whats up TopEnd? Yea back when i did my swap i tried everything that you just tried. That third wire is direct to the Euro R ECU. I had brought my manifold to a machine shop to get my IACV mounted to the Euro R manifold with a custom plate. Cost me $75 back then. Once you use your stock IACV with the plate you're golden....
