NOOB needs HELP

so i recently just switched out my stock shift gear knob to one that i bought on ebay...during the process however, i ended up screwing/unscrewing the knob so much that it now doesnt fall exactly into place of where it should be.what had happened is that the bottom of the knob is grinded so much that it doesnt fall into the right place that it should be...
has any0one ever encountered this problem? if soo please let me know if you've found a solutionnn thankss

here's a pic of the problem

Re: NOOB needs HELP

i just crumpled up a piece of paper, shoved it in the knob, and put it back on. simple, ghetto fix, but it works.
