random stalling issue

lately i've had a random stalling issue where the car will sound raspy when first started for 15 seconds, have no power, then suddenly regain power and run fine. a new fuel filter helped the issue a while ago but now it's back of course. just cleaned the egr as well and doesn't seem to have helped the low bouncy idle. recently while driving the car will stall out when in neutral and not start again until the 15 seconds are up. hmm the prelude curse is upon me...

helpful insight gets good karma...and some of that +1... if post doesn't make sense it's the

Re: random stalling issue

if thats all you've done so far there are a few things to check still. but if the fuel filter helped i would keep going with the fuel system. run some cleaner through it. maybe some sea foam. have you checked your spark plugs? they tell you stories sometimes. just by the color of the deposits left on them. when was the last time you did a good tune-up? wires, plugs, cap and rotor, air filter, and oil?

Re: random stalling issue

My car had kept doing this, I just unplugged the EGR Lift Sensor, and it stopped. No CEL yet, can't really explain that though hahaha. Give it a shot, see what happens.

egr lift sensor...is that on the egr itself? sounds strange but worth a shot

spark plugs are one year old but i'll take a gander at them. wires are one year old as well, cap and rotor are still oem, air filter semi clean, and fresh oil. thanks for the help though i still assume the fuel system is the culprit.
