Icon9 Engine overheating fan problem, please give me some advice?

Ok, my engine started red lining so I checked the coolant level, thermostat, water pump and they seem to be okay and there's no leaks or milky colour oil in my motor oil. I read that if the coolant temp sensor is faulty then the computer wont know when to turn the rad fan on, the fan works but it stopped coming on to cool the engine coolant, it comes on when I turn the AC on though so I know it works. Now I also read that if the temp sensor is faulty then there might be black smoke coming out of the exhaust but I haven't seen any and my check engine light isn't coming on which confuses me cause the temp sensor sends messages to the computer so if it was faulty then shouldn't the computer show a check engine light in my dash, I am confused and need some advice from you fellow lude drivers.

okay guy happy fourth , and i will suggest ,the following ,check fan relay at the fuse box in the engine bay also replace the radiator cap with a new one , check the coolant levels and make sure it's not water down to much if so replace coolant with new ,also check to see if water pump isn't leaking any coolant under neath the engine crank pulley ,check to see if heater is working inside at the highest heat point ,this will confirmed the coolant is passing threw the thermostat witch flows in to the heater core inside the dash aria, and then heated air comes out of the vents,if that checks out ,then next step is go and check the following ,radiator ,and hoses ,fan switch at the top of thermostat housing probably bad ,then check also two other fan switches under distributor ,you will need a volt meter ,or amp for troubleshooting them , before buying any thing .hope this helps .

hi..i already solve this problem before..
check ur fan..working fan that not mean ur fan is okay..
maybe ur fan working but speed maybe slow..hear if noise sound coming from ur fan..
add relay if needed..
it getting worse if u on AC..
if ur temp sensor not working there is no temp indicator..
my suggestion,,check thermostat and FAN...
im also have faced this problem like u before..
