Re: Crazy idea

Rhino line it and then leave it or add carpet? Just keep in mind your carpet covers up a lot of random stuff.

Not a very good one. Second Skin makes a product for that particular application; a spray on sound deadner that works amazing. They also make a spray on thermal barrier that's ceramic based that also works really well. Put the thermal stuff (called Firewall) before the bed liner, it would keep out a lot of heat as well.

I don't particularly care for Rhino Liner on floorboards except for in trucks.

You can find those spray coatings on:

Something lighter than what, carpet?

Eh... I dunno really. Carpet isn't particularly heavy.

Re: Crazy idea

stick with carpet, take it to someone who has bedlined the inside of a jeep. i pulled up my carpet and had to repair some holes from rust and when you bedline it, unless you take your time and aplly alot of coats, you wont have a smooth surface. i like the look if it, i will say that but it doesnt decrease the road noise, or atleast the kind i have.

if you go the bedline way, i suggest you go with Raptor U-Pol or Monsterline UV. DO NOT go with Herculine or Rhinoline, its a waste of money. you can pick Raptor kit for roughly $100 and have more then enough to cover the inside of a lude.

Re: Crazy idea

Ok so...you want something light, and easy to keep clean.

Carpet is light, and if you rip out our seats and other crap, pull up the carpet, clean the piss out of it, then put it back in, you'll have something light, and clean. It's pretty easy to keep clean too, just don't eat/drink/smoke in your car and you're golden.

And don't ever get a cat.

Is it really so bad you need to replace it? Some woolite or oxyclean might just take care of it...

I dunno. If it's like the carpet was in my last 240sx, it needs replacing lol. Had a huge hole in the carpet where your heels sat under the pedals.
