painting engine block

Sorry guys i think i posted this in the wrong place before . My question is that i am going to be painting my 5th gen engine block that i have out of the car , the car is red witch i a going to have painted over because it was involved in slight front end collision ,the engine bay is also going to get painted to its original shade of red ,Some input would be good ,thanks i will be posting some pics ,some of you already know me and the 5 gen .That's it for now later.

I think he was looking for coloring ideas, not how-to.

Personally I wouldn't do anything wild, a nice flat black would probably be my choice. Do something subtle, and the people that notice the difference are the ones that really matter.

Do a wire tuck since you have the block out? That'll look soooo clean! keep us posted.

Black looks horrible on engine blocks IMHO. Just the regular old Duplicolor "Bright Aluminum" Engine Enamel looks great. I'll post some pics of what we did with my friend's motor when I get home. We did his up nice.
