Re: swap...

Yes, you can swap it. I believe that hasport makes motor mounts for an h22 into a civic.

Re: swap...

ranger11x, are you seriously saying an h22 in a civic is a waist?

To the op... Yes you can put one in your car but to be honest with you as much as it will cost you to do that swap you are much better off with a b18c5 or even a k20 (granted the k swap will be more expencive). If you do want an h22 though then I say go for it. Several companies make the mount kits and the few other things you will need for the swap. I'd hop over to honda-tech or somewhere else to do some research though.

Re: swap...

yupp you sure can. I went to the races one day and there was a civic out there beasting on every car out there and everyone was like he probably have a H22 in his car, and at the end of the night when his car started acting up, he popped his hood and guess what was inside...a H22a Vtec =D

Re: swap...

H22 in a Civic is definately NOT a waste or a waist however you spell it.I just dropped one into a Del Sol today. My friend already did the wiring harness which is the most difficult part. If you suck at wiring just buy a harness from rywire. On the Hasport mount kit, the tranny mount has to be cut off the frame on the passenger side. The shifter plate has to be mounted and a hole for the cables to pass through has to be made as well. I have very little experience in this type of stuff but it was not very hard and I did most of the work by myself.
