Re: wtf why?

Wait, explain that again, but use proper spelling and grammer and be more specific. What exactly is going on? Need details.

Re: wtf why?

MY bad ok so when i hit vtec sometimes at full throttle it cuts bak at 7k on me and doesnt let my vtec go further! Feels like a rev limit in a way, but feels more dangerous to my motor like ill blow something! But sometimes it does let me take it all the way to 8 k so any help?

Re: wtf why?

I know that sometimes if the motor is not up to running temp, the Vtec will not even engage. I say you let the car warm up for a few minutes and then give it a try. Then again I don't know your driving habits, so I can not really say.

Or maybe this is just a short ramble. I know on mine it takes a few minutes to get warm before the oil pressure builds up enough to engage Vtec.

Re: wtf why?

The requirements for vtech engagement are coolant temp 140 and 19+ mph. Once that criteria is met, vtech will engage at whatever rpm its set at.

IF your vtech does engage, then you met the requirements.

When this happens, when it "cuts bak" do the rpms seems to bounce? like rrrrrrrrRAAA-BAH-BAH-BAH. Cuz that would be hitting your rev limiter, if it sounded like that.

SO I took off all the corrections and still the same? am i possibly low on oil changeed oil 2200 miles ago? or does vtec soloenoid need cleanin?

Re: wtf why?

i'm kind of confused here. you said you put oil in 2200 miles ago. making it sound like you don't even know how to check your oil????

answer: if your low on oil put some more in. pretty straight forward.

our cars are known to burn oil even if it isn't noticable. especially if your hittin some Vtec

We don't know....
If you think there is a chance you're low on oil, pull the stick and check it.....

Though honestly, I don't know to much about Vtec, but I don't think a lack of oil would only effect you at 7k rpm...

......
Honestly, who is worried about not being able to get to 8k rpm? Am I the only one who cares about his car?

Ehem... "Grammar."

Back to the topic at hand:
If you don't know what you're messing with, don't mess with it. Make sure all your fluids are good. Then, start the car up and drive it. Nobody said you had to bounce off the rev limiter all day, just drive the damn thing.

Titchy little fuker isn't he?

Anyway, yes lazer, we shall all use the proper spelling of vtec. Or was it vjack? No no wait, it was definitly v-kack.

And to the bigger grammar nazi than me out there, I tend to be on the forum at 1-3 am, right now I can barely see straight, everything gets blurry. I really was just telling the op to straighten the spelling and grammar out enough so that it was legible.

And to the op, if you hadn't been messing with it in the first place, you wouldn't be having any trouble. Now we now not to fiddle with stuff don't we?
