Re: my car idles weird

still sounds like throttle position sensor, try unplugging it starting it and see if it stops should go into limp mode and the check engine will prob come on.

If you can't figure it out using that, come back with details and we will see what we can do.

Re: my car idles weird

Before you start spending money, use the damn idle thread. Clean IACV and FITV! That is 99% likely your problem.

Re: my car idles weird

It is your fast idle valve. It is on the bottom on your throttle body. Take it off and there is a little plate on it, remove the plate, there is a white plastic/waxy looking piece and you screw it down as far as possible and then back it out a half turn. It is in the idle thread.

And plug back in your fkn tps because that is not the problem.

OMSOBMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!

IT IS RIGHT HERE:

the FINAL idle problem thread!!!!!

I had never worked on a car in my life and it only took me 20 minutes!!!!!

Seriously, if you don't plug that TPS back in and clean your FITV, you just Super-****ing-Mega-Failed beyond all comparison.

Kid of uncalled for don't you think?
Considering the final idol thread was already linked to him and everything you said has already been said? Plus it takes more that just cleaning the fast idle valve.

Hey. Aren't you the one that got on me last week for doing the same thing (slightly LESS harsh albeit) that you just did to him?
