What type of fuel do you use?

Just wanted to know what everyone was using and what everyone's fuel mileage is.

(I've always used 91 and got about 450km out of my tank. One day my dad was driving it and he filled it up with 87 regular. My car drove sluggish until i emptied it but it drove for about 600km. That's 150km more per tank?!?!)

Re: What type of fuel do you use?

put whatever it says in the owners manual.
that's just common car knowledge, to check the owners manual for that kind of information.

normally i would flip out, scream "premium", and lock this...
but since you said "km's", there's a chance you have a F22 in your 5G, in which case its fine to put regular in it.

Re: What type of fuel do you use?

I would go with 94. That's just me though.
I avoid all gas stations in my area that only offer 91 or 92 premium.
If we had 94 I would use it over 93.

if you have an h series engine i believe everyone would tell you to use hi-test gasoline in it. 87 or is not good for high compression engine's. it says on your dash "premium fuel only". it realy isnt that much more to use it anyway...say its 20 cents per gallon more. that means about 1 dollar per 10 gallons. a 5th gen has a 15.9 gallon tank. get the premium! But as neck said if you have an F22 then yea..87 is perfectly fine for it!

Re: What type of fuel do you use?

I run BP Premium Diesel. The high compression H22 engine really likes the ability to compression-ignite the fuel, and it uses less. I have also removed the spark plugs (blanked off with a short bolt in the head) to make the car run like a proper diesel.

Ditto. Premium every single time. Tho we did just get ethanol (I believe its called E87? Idr lol) and if it wouldn't be such a PITA to do it I'd run that. Burns way better n there's power gains to be seen just from usin it. Problem is u have to upgraded ur entire fuel system for it.

Re: What type of fuel do you use?

I used 87 first fill up by mistake and it made the engine sound rattle a bit. 91 runs fine and I got much more mileage (350 km)from the 91 than the 87.Filled my car only 3 times. There is no 93 around here just 94 with ethanol and I didn't want to risk putting that in my car till I did some research.

Re: What type of fuel do you use?

Every station here in florida has started adding ethanol, and I don't know about you guys but if I get premium anywhere other than shell my car haaaates me. Seems V-tec really doesn't agree with the corn Anyways, My car has only ever seen 93 while I've owned it.

Re: What type of fuel do you use?

92/93. I have run 89 in the past and I could hear more backfiring on hot days. I do need to mention I keep my timing towards the advanced side of things, so I could probably get away with 89 on stock timing
