the car has 192,000 miles on it and seems to have no problems except for a valve adjustment (makes a slight ticking sound and its a little bit louder than my friends prelude). The car shifts perfectly and the vtech seems to kick in at the right time and I checked the carfax..... It has a clean title and has never had any reported wrecks and has had routine maintenance work done to it (oxygen sensors, slave cylinder, etc). It is completely stock except for a cold air intake. the previous owner just installed a new flywheel and clutch. im paying $3300.00 for the car, do you think this is a good buy? feel free to ask anymore information that you might need to assess this vehicle. I am a first time prelude owner, be easy on me guys it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Just bought a 1998 prelude today, 150k miles, for over 1k more than that one. I'd say yes, does it feel solid when you drive it?

I just bought a 97 base with 211k totally stock. Single owner driven by an old lady. I paid $2600.00 for mine and LOVE it. Mine had the transmission replaced at 176k. I would def ask about the transmission from what I have read they like to crap out and find out when the timing belt was replaced. But I would go for it if you want to be awesome!

after reading the replies i guess mine was a steal. I just bought a 5th gen last friday with 190k super duper clean inside and out for 2200. Its my first honda and i've gotta say so far no complaints. Ive pretty much fallen inlove with the car already and it hasnt even been a week yet.
