Icon5 help me..knock sensor problem

bros!!!

i need ur help here,.

im using PGM tester after my car got engine light..it show code 23 (knock sensor no signal) and knock retard not show any sign.
so i jack my car up..and i seen my connection to knock sensor is ok but the knock sensor was broke, it's torn apart..so im searching for knock sensor at junkyard..
im searching allover for h22a knock sensor..i can't find one..they only have b20z(usdm CRV engine) knock sensor..so i bought b20z knock sensor..and install it to my h22a engine..fit nicely into my h22a knock sensor hole..but b20z shorter than h22a knock sensor..but fit nicely..after i install all back..
diagnosis again with pgm tester..knock retard not show any sign
still show 0.0 o...( o = electrical symbol)
im not testing on the road..
normally engine light will show up when i drive 2.3k rpm at 80kmh..
after the light show up..my engine feel no pick up or tork..seems like im driving old 70's honda..no power i mean..but before engine light show up..
my car running like a champ!!

here a pic of b20z and h22a knock sensor..can see the different??
---------------------------------------------------------------
B20z Knock sensor

H22A knock sensor

my question is..can i'm using different knock sensor from another honda engine knock sensor?? will my ECU detect it??
or this problem is because of my knock sensor harness.

if my knock sensor harness become faulty..can i make a new harness from D3 from ECU and direct to knock sensor connector??

help me please..i need some guide..

Re: help me..knock sensor problem

so the connector from the harness plugged into the knock sensor perfectly? (meaning it was the same style connector)

Im guessing it did plug in fine but sense it's a different KS it's giving out the wrong readings.

Re: help me..knock sensor problem

yeah bro...it plug perfectly..the connector was different wit the old one...
but came with same wire colour...red blue...and it's come with single wire same as old one...

bro...my problem already solve

no more code 23...and i got my power back,,

so we can use b20z knock sensor to replace h22a knock sensor..
it won't throw any code since now

thanks brother
