short shifter/shift plate/shift arm

hows it going guys and gals, i'm new to this forum and i just got a 4th gen prelude that already has a short shifter in it. i don't like the shift boot and was going to have some buddies fabricate a shift plate for me. if i got a new shift arm, would it throw off the entire short shift?

Re: short shifter/shift plate/shift arm

i've always been curious about doing this as well, a slotted/gated shifter plate like lambo's have. mmmmm sexyyyyy. never seen anyone do one for a 4G tho, so you can be the guinea pig

considering an entire true short shifter consists of the entire shifter arm, yes, by creating a new shifter arm (short shifter) will completely negate the short shifter you already have, so i say just stick with what you have.

Re: short shifter/shift plate/shift arm

unless i can find a short shifter with a shift arm that would fit with the plate, i'd still have to measure the dimensions and all the other tedious work
