i picked up a wideband the other day

i picked up a wideband for cheap the other day so i jumped on it. i was wondering how do i wire it to be read by the ecu? it's a 5-wire kind bosch part number 17014 i believe. is there a way to wire it to be read by the ecu? i've got a p28 running neptune so it being read isnt a problem im just unsure how to wire it up. all the write ups ive found are for like LC-1 kits i've got just the sensor.

Re: i picked up a wideband the other day

cuz it doesn't hook up to the ecu, it hooks up to its own gauge, which gives the AFR readout. its a completely separate system from the ecu. so now you need to buy the X-16 gauge from innovate

could you not wire it from the original o2 to be read/input from like d14?

Re: i picked up a wideband the other day

not really sure about hondas but wide bands use their own sensor cuz the stock sensor is a narrow band which is useless when displayed on a guage. Ever see people put a/f guages in their cars and its like a light show back and forth? Thats cuz its reading off the stock narrow band. A wide band just hooks straight to a guage so you can read your a/f.

if all else fails i could run it off just a gauge, i just assume there has to be some way it can be read through neptune. screw it, maybe i'll just go buy the lc-1 kit or something.

Re: i picked up a wideband the other day

could i not wire the grounds and such, then splice the output wire from the wideband to the stock wire that reads the narrow band and have neptune read it through d14? or even since ive got a obd2 car would any of the wire from the secondary o2 get picked up on by the ecu?

Re: i picked up a wideband the other day

Yea I dont know anything about Neptune so I wouldnt know. If Neptune is designed to just read off your stock narrow band then I would assume no but idk. Maybe ask in the FI section?
