Re: 92 Lude Issues

for ur speedo, ur vehicle speed sensor could be bad or not there at all so check that. i dont know if that bypass really would make a difference hopefully someone who has a better understanding will chime in, but u should do a tune up and see what that does to ur mpg

Re: 92 Lude Issues

You got a stock intake on or aftermarket? If aftermarket, you will have one hose that won't line up to an aftermarket cause there is nothing to connect that hose too. Shouldn't mess with the O2 sensor either in this case, hope this helps.

Well I don't know a whole lot about 4th gens but when I got my 3rd gen I had the same problem. Turned out to be the speedometer cable wasn't completely connected to the gauge cluster and only needed to be pushed in. After I did that the tachometer worked too. At least I'm pretty sure that's how it worked out... (it's been a while lol) Hope this might give you some ideas.

Here are some pics of my 4th gen. intake and the hoses the only one connected should be the breather hose coming from the Engine to the air intake(See first pic). The second pic shown is just a regular vent hose that comes over the top of the fuel injector that is unneeded. At least that is what the directions told me on the install when I put this short ram on 3 years ago. I'm assuming this is all right since my car has ran fine since the install and has yet to blow up...haha hope this helps.

Re: 92 Lude Issues

That line that that is shown on second pic can be left plugged up because it originally connects the the stock air intake. But im not sure about your car missing a bypass hose, any way you can post pics?

any check engine lights?

Ya, I think it could play a role in effecting your oxygen sensor but it might not be the actual problem...You def. should get the hose though even if it doesn't solve the o2 problem.
