Icon5 5th gen motor sounds

for some dum *****s i will make my self more clearer


i have a 99 basic model prelude i have two problem "2" "dos" would like to know if any of you guys had the problem before? or can help me out.......one of my first problems is when i take off as in to drive off on first gear and i pull my clutch out as in to release the clutch pedal i here it as if it got a 6puk clutch as in the 6puk after market clutch...... it squeeks loud as i release the clutch pedal and also another one of my problems when im on the highway i have it on fourth gear and rpm's around 4000 to 4500 i here like if it was the valves taping loud or some type ruff sound not sure what it could be any one any help......?

One a side note please install firefox no need for you to misspell words.

reason this is happening is because their is a lack of lube on the clutch release lever pivot ball, very common honda/acura problem.
And no need for you to edit your posts with negativity because you could not take the courtesy to type up the HELP you thread correctly.

I have the same issue, and many have told me that it was my pressure plate. I have tried lubing the slave cylinder fork to no avail, sooo that is what a few people have told me is the issue....I may have to check out the release lever though, thanks.

To OP: is your loud ticking noise ONLY when in 4th gear at about 4k-4500?

that lube gets eaten up by humidity so I understand why him living in new jersey would get that problem, but if turns out that is whats wrong with your car glad to assist man.

or the first problem could be attributed to a throwout bearing thats going bad.

thats what most ppl say but i dont belive thats what it is and no is not just on fourth is on any but thats the loudest when i have it on fourth so im not sure i dont wanna take it to honda cause i dont wanna pay a arm n a leg feel me
