Engine sounding funny

I have an h22a. Recently i put back on my muf silencer so i can enjoy the sounds of the engine at high revs so the car in general is very quiet. Today with the windows rolled down I notice on the driver side, there is a "supercharger" like sound when I accelerate the car. Its like i have a supercharger, but its not loud, its very low but noticeable when driving. It doesn't sound too low to the point where it is nothing to worry about either. Another example is it sound like a car going in reverse, but not so loud. Anyway if you guys have any clue what it could be or are the jdm engines like that? Let me know please!

I have the H22A1, and mines makes a winding/supercharger kind of sound too when i'm accelerating. It's mainly noticeable when I accelerate low into my 1st gear. I'm not sure if it's just my belts or what. It may be normal for it to sound like that? I'm not sure, I hope it's normal, if not at least nothing to serious.

My alternator is brand new. I should double check the tension on my drive belts.

This is what you do.

Turn on your car.
Take a long flat-head screw driver and place it on the alternator.
Put your ear against the end of the screw driver.
Tell your friend to rev the car.
Can you hear the whine from the alternator?
if not, you're gravy.

If so...live with it like me.

even though an alternator is brand new, if the person over tightend the accessory belt, the alternator bearing will be at fault.

edit: no. that person is at fault!!
