I was driving the other day and all of a sudden my '96 Lude speedometer and rpm gages stopped working, all of my lights dimmed to half power and stayed that way and my battery and ABS indicators came on on my dash display. Is this a Alternator problem? I started my car this morning and let it run for about 10 minutes and it just died. HELP!

Buy a Volt Ohm Meter.

So I have figured out my problem, now that it's light out and I can see. My Alternator belt has flown of the track and jammed itself in between the lower pulley and the inner part of the engine block its connected to (or what not). I think the lower pulley also might have broken off, causing the belt to jump. I cannot tell if the pulleyt is just one of those loose idler pulleys that just spins and is supposed to be loose or if it isnt and needs replaced. Anyone even have a clue what I'm talkin about, or know of where I can find a free service manual so I can check it out myself?

Does anyone have a ALTERNATOR BELT ADJUSTMENT TABLE or know of where I can find one for free? I have been searching online and cannot find one.
