Oil Change

Just got a new (used) 99 prelude and i would like to flush the oil and put in a fully sythetic oil, motor has about 70K. What oil grade and brand should i get ? i live in chicago and it gets pretty cold here!

Not sure why the "fail, fail, fail" comment? does that mean DO NOT use 5W30 Mobile 1 Synthetic Oil?

Re: Oil Change

is the oil viscosity grade at 5W30 all year, even on areas with extremely cold temperatures? by the way i think amsoil is a good choice

Re: Oil Change

yes, use 5w30 all year round. 5 quarts. I use Mobile 1 fully synthetic. You will find oil for preludes is a bit pricey but that will keep your car running forever. Also only use 93 Octane or better!

because the h22a4 is supposed to run on 91 octane or higher.

Royal purp is good but way over priced... I've used mobile uno on my boosted 5th gen since forever and I have no complaints
