S2000 Wheels on Prelude

I've been searching on PZ for a few days now and I'm still trying to find pic of a prelude with S2000 wheels. So if any of you members would post some pics, I would greatly appreciate it.

You do remeber/realise that you can only use the front wheels? The car above is using two sets of S2K wheels.

Re: S2000 Wheels on Prelude

Those looks very nice, but i was actually want to see the newer model S2000 wheels, 17". Now those look really clean! Alot of folks out there are putting the RSX Type S wheels on the prelude, and I dont want to go that route, so i figured the next best thing. S2000 wheels.

Starbi has ap2 wheels and you do not have to use 2 front sets.

Re: S2000 Wheels on Prelude

Sorry for digging this thread from the grave, but I didn't wanna make a new thread on this.

One of my buddies is giving me a set of ap1 rims for free. I have 205/55/16 tires will they fit? I'm assuming with some tire stretch they will and I understand they are staggered rims. A lot of understeer. Anyone running this set up? I need some input please thanx.

Re: S2000 Wheels on Prelude

i was just wondering because it states in the "stance" section in the tire and wheel size thread,

7.5" Wide Wheels w/ 4th & 5th Gen

Less than +40mm ::: Not Recommended
+40mm to +43mm ::: Not Recommended if you are, or plan to be, lowered. You take the chance of rubbing the outside lip of the wheel well. Wouldn't recommend using any tire with an overall diameter larger than stock and/or with a tire width larger than 215.
+44mm to +47mm ::: This is a grey area if you are lowered, results vary depending on tire and/or drop. You take the chance of rubbing the outside lip of the wheel well. Wouldn't recommend using a tire with an overall diameter more than slightly larger than stock, you chances of rubbing increase.
+48mm to +52mm ::: You shouldn't have any problems. Recommended Offsets for 7.5" Wide Wheels.
Larger than +53mm ::: Not Recommend. You take the chance of rubbing the inside lining of the wheel well.

and i believe that the rear s2000 wheels are +63 offset

Re: S2000 Wheels on Prelude

OEM 00-03 (AP1) wheel sizes and offsets are as follows:

Front:
16" x 6.5", +55 offset, 205 tire
Rear:
16" x 7.5", +65 offset, 225 tire

and the OEM 04+ (AP2) wheels are as follows:

Front:
17" x 7.0", +55 offset, 215 tire
Rear:
17" x 8.5", +65 offset, 245 tire

It just says you take a chance, I do not know anyone that has had a problem with running a full set of ap1 wheels but then again they have all been stock ride height.

starbai on the other hand is running a set of ap2 wheels and is lowered... having no issues.

Accord got new shoes the other day so snapped some pics with the whole stable :)

Re: S2000 Wheels on Prelude

So I just picked up a set of OEM 03 AP1 S2000 wheels and the rear rims have have 225/55R16 tires on them that definitely do NOT fit. My question is:

What size tire do I need on the rear rims that are 16 x 7.5 to fit on my 5th gen????

My car is not lowered at all, stock ride height.

Re: S2000 Wheels on Prelude

Ugghh I made a thread to end all ap1 wheel questions!!!!! I use a 205/50/16 tires on the rear. It's a minor stretch but it wouldn't affect anything. You Can't even tell. Reason why tire size you have is because that size tire hits th nuckle in the rear. SEARCH!!!!

Re: S2000 Wheels on Prelude

sorry bro. I did search and that's how I came across this thread. I didn't see too many other ones. anyway thanks a lot I appreciate it. So I just need to get two 205/50R16's. quick question you think I can use 205/55R16's to match the front 2?- If you can send the link to the other thread you made I would love to read it.

ps- rep points added

Yeah it's ok bro. Here's the link.

Ap1 wheels.... Check!

as for your question... Idk if that would work with the 205/55/16 you can try and let me know though. :)
