h23 crank on an h22

i have a 92 prelude that was orginally an h23 but now i purchased a used h22 after taking it apart we found one of the rods looks a little bad. so my friend who is doing the work on my car said that not only will the h23 crank work on my h22 but it would also improve my performance. can anyone give me any information on if it can be done and whether or not i have to change anything. thanks

Re: h23 crank on an h22

well which h22 is it? (a1, a4) or what year is it from?

only the 97 H22a4 and the JDM H22a had 50mm mains, while the rest of the H22's had 55mm mains, and since the H23 has 50mm, you can only use the h23 crank in the first two engines that i mentioned
