98 Type SH Lude or 97 Civic Ex with h22 Type S Swap?

Ok so someone wants to trade me a black ek coupe with a JDM H22 type s motor for my 98 type sh lude. My lude has rust on the quater panel and a CEL with custom leather and intake and exhaust. The ek body has not rust, no dents, and rims on it. What should i do? Im going to see it tomorrow

Re: 98 Type SH Lude or 97 Civic Ex with h22 Type S Swap?

you really dont need to bump your thread within a minute (it was prob a repost though, i dunno) just keep the lude man. rust is easy to fix and same with a CEL. plus its definately worth a lot more than a civic. and it looks better than a civic

Re: 98 Type SH Lude or 97 Civic Ex with h22 Type S Swap?

Keep the lude... Not only does it look better, but i bet it handles quite a bit better than the civic as well.

I went from a 95 civic to a 96 lude and I was really surprised that the stock lude handled better than my lowered civic with 17" rims.

Re: 98 Type SH Lude or 97 Civic Ex with h22 Type S Swap?

I would honestly prolly keep the lude unless u test drive it and everything seems good. I mean, why would somebody trade his civic with a h22a in it for a lude with rust on it? (No offense bro). But his civic would be alot faster so why would he trade it for something slower? Idk, I just kinda think something's up with the deal. Test drive it and ask him ALOT of questions. Lol. Btw, does he know about the rust on ur lude? Or no?

haha..lmao

Check out the civic first, drive it, take it on the highway to see how it
handles at a faster speed, and make sure the steering wheel doesnt shake
much or moves from side to side too much.

I wuz gonna buy a civic HX myself b4. i needed a gas saver car for work and
college. Looked in perfect conditions and so did the motor.
Once i drove it...it drove like sh*t...wasnt worth it.

Eventually i fell in love w/ a lude w/ a stock H22 and wuz perfect.
Happily ever after...

i agree that thing is pretty decked out and looks like alot of time has been spent on it, test drive it and see but it looks like your getting scammed, just doesnt seem right nice azz civic for a pretty much stock lude

Before I had my prelude, I had a 96 civic with a B16 swap inside of it. I'd have to say, it was fun to drive but come on now, I get more chicks driving the prelude. Plus it looks way cleaner than just another fixed up civic on the road. Prelude all the way most def.

that civics frame is probably bent to shiet,h22's are some heavy ass motors to civic, ive seen many h2b civic swaps with bent frames because they didnt reinforce it.

Re: 98 Type SH Lude or 97 Civic Ex with h22 Type S Swap?

I know its biased because its a prelude forum but personally I'd keep the prelude.... its just a much nicer car over all.. your problems are minor and can be fixed easily..

not to mention I think the prelude will be more more desirable than the civic some day when you're ready to sell either.

As nice as that civic is... they are still run of the mill...

Ludes are still and now always will be pretty rare (at least in relation to other hondas)

true, the ludes hold their value reallly well, and it is something different.
the civic looked nice, what made you decide to turn it down?
