no heat

ok, so i'm just making this thread for my boss because he doesn't want to order the wrong part...

i have no heat, which means no defog. the wire to my fan is unpluged but i closed the circuit with a peice of wire. (i think my thermostat is done)

but here are the symptoms:

my temp guage never moves. when i start the car, after a few minutes the air in comming out the vents slowly heats to cold from freezing cold. still it wont defrost or defog. when i drive hard 4krpm for hours, for example, it doesn't budge. when i park and rev hard, the air heats up about halfway but within 2 minutes of driving, it drops immediately back down to cool.

when parked, and fan hotwire is undone (open circuit, not plugged in) it will overheat quickly.

is my problem:
a) fan switch
b) thermostat
c) rad bleed needed
d) water pump
or something else?

Re: no heat

ok so it has been figured that the clip on the fan switch plug has been missing the whole time making it really easy for the fan switch wire to fall off. the other issue was the thermostat is bunk.
