Icon5 Motor and Transmission Swap

I'm a newb and don't know much about the car I own. Anyways please help me and give me some advice. I've already researched up on this, but still don't have all my answers. My prelude is a 99 base model SS auto. A couple days ago the crank shaft pulley bolt broke. I don't know if this has cause engine damage or not, as I have not done anything with the car as of now. Anyways what I've always wanted to do with this car is put a new motor in it and swap it for a 5 speed. My question is... if I bought a motor that came with a 5 speed transmission, what else would I need to do the transmission swap. What would come with the new motor and 5 speed transmission that I wouldn't have to buy extra? Please help. Thanks.

Re: Motor and Transmission Swap

My 99's actually in the shop getting tha same type swap, hmm besides the tranny you'd need the clutch & brake pedal assembly, manual gauge cluster(optional) , shift knob, boot, shift cable, clutch reservoir, manual ecu, might have to get honda to reflash your key too, and a few other things, just look around the site too homie, a handful of fellow luders here did the same swap, good luck

Re: Motor and Transmission Swap

Well, a shop doing it will run ya between $1,200-near $3,000, depending on if you already have some of the needed components or not, different shops will prob have different price quotes, just ask around
