How can I squeez 275hp outta my H22a

So i got this jack ass who does nothing but trash honda. So when i started telling him about some upgrades i was gonna make, he states, "if you can get 275 hp outta that pos on a dyno without boost or spray ill pay for your dyno."
So what can i do guys to get that mcuh out? I have a chipped ECU, Aem V2 intake, header, and apex N1 exhust. I wanted to upgrade my cams to Skunk cams but i need some more advice.

Re: How can I squeez 275hp outta my H22a

first, are you talking about at the crank or wheels? to the wheels is usually the most important and what everyone measures.

so, if it is indeed to the wheels.....
without boots OR spray is going to be very, very, very hard/expensive.

with all the mods you've mentioned, people have a hard time hitting 200whp

Re: How can I squeez 275hp outta my H22a

Easiest way to get 275 hp or more out of your Honda without boost or juice would be to

1.sell the lude

2.buy an NSX (ya it's Acura but they are the same company)

3. ????

4.Profit!

Tommy's car wouldnt make anywhere near 400hp without boost lol. With nitrous maybe.

OP, you need to have your car dyno'd and see where you stand right now so you can see what its going to take in order to reach 275. Are you wanting 275 to the wheels or to the flywheel?

yup. the flywheel is bolted DIRECTLY to the crank, so there's no losses due to friction or other factors.

Re: How can I squeez 275hp outta my H22a

H23 crank and overbore to 2.4+L (obviously involve resleeving). The most aggressive cams you can find, the highest compression pistons you can find combined with a shaved head and/or thinner head gasket, should give you 13+:1. Get the thing tuned on avgas and I guess you should hit around 275whp. Also probably want a Euro-R IM port matched to a 70+mm TB or even better run ITB's. Dude probably meant on pump fuel though, which would limit how high a compression setup you could get away with.

Spending like $10k to get a couple of hundred in dyno time seems rather silly, although if "your dyno" means that he will buy you your own dyno, then I guess those things are worth over $10k?

with enough money, yes i would say its possible; but realistically, i doubt it,

Edit: my bad got thinking at the wheels, but at the crank, i think ya he could do it, but if he really did all the added work/time (ie: pull the engine) to do a engine dyno, just so he could get a guy to MAYBE pay for it, for him. i'd say a little ridicules. ok alot.

personally i think if hes gonna build it he should build it because he wants to, not just because some guy says he'll pay for his dyno runs..
just my .02 cents...

you properly size the turbo to the engine so they're both working in their efficiency ranges, like mine
