traction bars

can somebody please clear up some confusion for me, i would just like to know exactly what a traction bar does and how it does it, what is the difference between traction bars and sway bars and strut braces. and would u use all 3 in a ideal set up

traction bars improve traction (obviously ) by making the front motor mount solidly attached to the frame instead of using rubber mounts.

sway and strut bars improve handling. yes, you can use all 3 together.

many people using them? and if so are they worth it? im gonna guess they are more for the turbo guys right?
just trying to gain some extra knowledge in my noodle

they're big on drag cars since they increase traction a lot, but aren't necessarily needed on a DD. but if you got the money for one, they have been noted to be very very helpful.


and they're not more for turbo, it just so happens that alotta boosted guys run them due to the whole front mount/manifold delema.

cheers for the info, but one last question about them. how does it help the front mount manifold dilema? does it create more space?

they are made more so to link the control arms to the chassis to reduce the forward motion of the control arms when you launch.
