help me identify this part please

what is it? it was on the drivers side wire booth. it was located under the radio area.
the red wire connected to it came off and it touched metal where it was hidden under. then it sparked causing the car to no longer start even after changing the fuses and also reconnecting the wire.

Now tell them what you told me about the wire and the spark and the no starting... you can't be that vague.

IDK about the part name but could the short screwed something in the ECU up causing the car not to start?

Re: help me identify this part please

i didnt mess with it, i traced the wire to it, because the red wire was no longer connected to it and it was the red wire that caused the spark that made my car no longer start.

Re: help me identify this part please

HOLY Crap!

That looks like a VERY Poorly installed/designed HID Kit possibly??

Do you have a Volt/Ohm Meter?
Do any of those "pins" have an output voltage???

You MUST trace that red wire to wherever it goes... yes, you will have to remove the console. Once you find where it is terminated, take a picture please. I am WILLING to bet some dumbass hooked into the Clock/Radio Primary wire..... check, as in pull it out and physically look for a blown/burnt 10A fuse in the under hood fuse panel.. it is simply marked CLOCK I believe, and it also supplies power to the ECU - as in, unplugging it is the way you reset your ECU... so that WOULD prevent your car from starting.
Did you post this on the thread? If not I am going to copy paste it all over there so we can get more input.
